Hart Gables was set up more than 10 years ago to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) people. It is a registered charity and remains the only organisation in Hartlepool that offers support for LGBT people.

Ellen Dean
Ellen Dean writes romantic fiction. Her first novel, Beautiful Strangers, was nominated for the 2007 Golden Crown Literary Award.
It is 'in development' with Triboro Pictures, New York.
Beautiful Strangers is currently being re-edited to be published by Ellen's new publishing company, Colbere Publishing. As well as writing the sequel, she is also co-writing a Mind, Body and Spirit book full of useful tips and techniques for modern day living.
